Millie Pulled a Pistol on Santa Lyrics

If you will suck my soul
I will lick your funky emotionsThis is the stylin' for a title that sounds silly
But nothin' silly about the triflin' times of Millie
Millie, a Brooklyn queen, originally from Philly
Complete with that accent that made her sound hillbillyAround this time, the slammin' joint was 'Milk is Chillin''
But even cooler was my social worker Dillon
Yeah, I had a social worker 'coz I had some troubles
Anyone who'd riff on me, I'd pop their dome like bubblesHe'd bring me to his crib to watch my favorite races
That's how his daughter Millie become one of my favorite faces
She had the curves that made you wanna take chances
I mean on her, man, I'd love to make advancesI guess her father musta got the same feelin'
I mean, actually findin' his own daughter Millie appealin'
At the time no one knew but it was a shame
That Millie became a victim of the touchy-touchy gameYo Millie, what's the problem? Lately you've been buggin'
On your Dukie earrings, someone must be tuggin'
You were a dancer who could always be found clubbin'
Now you're world renowned with the frown you're luggin'Come to think, your face look stink when Dill's around you
He's your father, what done happen, did he ground you?

You shouldn't flip on him 'coz Dill is really cool
Matter of fact, the coolest elder in the schoolHe hooked up a trip to bring us all the Lacey
He volunteered to play old Santa Claus at Macy's
Child, ya got the best of pops anyone could have
Dillon's cool, super hip, you should be gladYeah, it seemed that Santa's ways were parallel with Dillon
But when Millie an' him got home, he was more of a villain
While she slept in, he crept inside her bedroom
An' he would toss an' then would force her to give him head roomMillie tried real hard to let this Hell not happen
But when she'd fuss, he would just commence to slappin'
Yo Dillon, man, Millie's been out of school for a week, man
What's the deal? I guess he was givin' Millie's bruises time to healOf course he told us she was sick an' we believed him
An' at the department store as Santa we would see 'em
An' as he smiled, his own child was at home plottin'
How off the face of this earth she was gonna knock himWhen I got home, I found she had tried to call me
My machine had kicked to her, Hey how ya doin'?, Sorry
I tried to call the honey but her line was busy
I guess I'll head to Macy's an' bug out on DillonI received a call from Misses Sick herself
I asked her how was she recoverin' her health
She said that what she had to ask would make it seem minute
She wanted to talk serious, I said, Go ahead, shoot"She claimed I hit the combo dead upon the missle
Wanted to know if I could get a loaded pistol
That ain't a problem but why would Millie need one
She said she wanted her pops Dillon to heed oneRan some style about him pushin' on her privates
Look honey, I don't care if you kick five fits
There's no way that you can prove to me that Dill's flip
He might breathe a blunt but ya jeans he wouldn't ripYou're just mad he's your overseer at school
No need to play him out like he's someone cruel
She kicked that she would go get it from somewhere else
Yeah, whatever you say, go for ya selfMacy's department store, the scene for Santa's kisses
An' all the little brats demandin' all of their wishes
Time passes by as I wait for my younger brother
He, as his wish, I waste no time to return him back to MotherAs I'm jettin', Millie floats in like a zombie
I ask her what's her problem, all she says is, "Where is he?"
I give a point, she pulls a pistol, people screamin'
She shouts to Dill, he's off to Hell 'coz he's a DemonNone of the kids could understand what was the cause
All they could see was a girl holdin' a pistol on Claus
Dillon pleaded mercy, said he didn't mean to
Do all the things that her mind could do nothin' but cling to
Millie bucked him an' with the quickness it was over

De La Soul is a massively influential hip hop group, hailing from Amityville, New York, United States. They are best known for their eclectic sampling and quirky, surreal lyrics, and their contributions to the evolution of the jazz hop subgenre. They are the best known of the early alternative hip-hop acts. The members are Kelvin Mercer (Posdnuos, Mercenary, Plug Wonder Why, Plug One), David Jude Jolicœur (Trugoy the Dove, Dave, Plug Two) and Vincent Mason (Pasemaster Mase, Maseo, Plug Three). The three formed the group in 1987, while still in high school and caught the attention of producer Paul Huston (Prince Paul) with a demo tape of the song "Plug Tunin'".

Their debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising (1989), was a critical smash that saw the group labeled hippies due to the message of peace and love. They quickly became prominent members of the Universal Zulu Nation, along with A Tribe Called Quest, Black Sheep, Queen Latifah, Jungle Brothers and others. They were also members of the famed Native Tongues Posse and mentioned the group often in their music (though they have since left the group for various reasons). "Me Myself and I" became a huge hit, further cementing the group's popularity. However, rock group The Turtles sued the group for sampling "You Showed Me" without permission on De La Soul's "Transmitting Live from Mars". From that point on, sampling required permission from the sources before it was released.

After 3 Feet High and Rising, De La Soul was pegged by audiences as hippies and were expected to continue creating the same type of music. This greatly agitated the group, as they always envisioned their career as a constantly changing style. This would influence their next recording sessions.
De La Soul's second album, De La Soul Is Dead (1991) was a much darker album. It featured skits that criticized the direction that hip hop was heading in at the time, though it still managed to maintain a light sense of humor. While the album is a fan favorite today, it received mixed reviews and did not sell as well as 3 Feet High and Rising.

1993's Buhloone Mindstate and 1996's Stakes Is High saw the group evolve a new sound which - though it still failed to garner commercial success - cemented their position as mainstays in the alternative hip-hop movement.

Four years later, De La Soul announced that they would release a triple album series entitled "Art Official Intelligence" (or AOI). All three albums were intended to be released within a year, beginning with the release of Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump. This was followed by AOI: Bionix in late 2001. After this, however, the public saw no release of the third and final album in the AOI series. For the next two years, the only De La Soul releases were singles or remix compilations. Jolicœur (Dave) stated in an interview that it usually takes about four years for the group to record an album, promote it with advertisements, touring and so on. The group was having trouble finishing the last AOI installment for many reasons, one of which being an ongoing struggle with Tommy Boy Records, who had been releasing their albums ever since their debut.

In 2004, De La Soul ended up releasing a new full album: The Grind Date on Sanctuary Records. Although it was not the new AOI album their fans had been anticipating, it was released to some critical acclaim and was well received by most fans. The album also receives recognition for being the seventh studio album from the group.

In 2005, they were featured on the Gorillaz single, "Feel Good Inc." and on the LA Symphony single "Universal" They also made an apearance on superFast Jellyfish on the album Plastic beach by Gorrilaz in early 2010
