Modern Age Lyrics

I received a letter yesterday
Faded yellow
Page after page
and evey page blank
Signed with love, the modern ageI found a piece of art in the trash
I don't know anything about art
A shattered mirror with a broken frame
Autographed by the modern ageModern age, modern age, modern age
Nothing to say
Modern age, modern age
Modern age, nothing to sayModern age, modern age, modern age
Nothing to say
Modern age, modern age
Modern age, nothing to say(????)1:Man, I just got out go outside,
get some air,
everybody saying things to me
so much crap up in my head
I don't know why I have what I have

I don't know why I am who I am
Just tryin to live, y'know, everybody's got something to sayBut what the hell is this thing?
you disgust me
(1:just trying to live my life)Even on our planet we don't have anything as fucked up as that(treating me like a reject and shit, damn)
I can't say why(just trying to live, y'know, be happy)
I don't know why you have this gift
But there is one thing i do know son, and that is that you are here for a reason

Enjoy the lyrics !!!

Sonny Smith began playing Jimmy Yancey covers on piano in little mountain town clubs of Colorado when he was 18. These piano gigs led him to Denver and then into Central America where he busked up and down the Telemanca Coast with a couple friends in a band. At this time he was working on screenplays which ultimately broke apart into long-winded songs with characters, dialogues and plots. Sonny’s early CDs include This Is My Story, This Is My Song, released in 2002, followed the next year by Sordid Tales of Love and Woe, Sweet Lorraine featuring Jolie Holland on harmonies.
