Money Talks Lyrics

Money don't grow on a money tree
The more you take, even less for me
Money don't buy what you really need
It make an iceman cry, make a stone man bleedBut when you get right down to it, no matter who you are
It rules your life like a virgin queen
One day you might get over it but in the meantime
It rules the world like a green machineIn the bank, in a box, money talks
In the black, on the rocks, money talks, money talksMoney don't lose in the money game
It drags you down like a ball and chain
So money don't come with a guarantee
It make a fool of you, it make a fool of meBut when you get right down to it, no matter what you say
It ties you down but it can set you free, yeah
Some day you might get over it but in the meantime
It burns you up in the first degreeMoscow, Bangkok, money talk
Park Lane, Boardwalk, money talkBut when you get right down to it, no matter what you try
You deal the cards, give the wheel a spin
One day you might get over it but everybody knows
It's heads you lose and it's tails they win, yeahDon't have too much to show for it, that's the way it goes

You roll the dice and they cash you inPinball, jukebox, money talks
Redskins, White Sox, money talks
Billboard, cash box, money talks

The Alan Parsons Project was a British rock group active from 1975 until 1990, founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson both from London, England. The group is based on a number of regular group members such as Stuart Elliot and Ian Bairnson, complemented with varying lead vocals such as Colin Blunstone (the Zombies), Chris Rainbow and Gary Brooker (Procol Harum). The group is well known for its concept albums, which cover themes such as Edgar Allan Poe, Gaudi, and Freud.

Eric Woolfson wrote most of the music and lyrics while Alan Parsons overviewed the production process. Prior to starting his Project, Parsons worked as an engineer with names such as The Beatles(Abbey Road, the Get Back roofttop concert) and Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon, Atom Heart Mother).

Since the 1990s Alan Parsons has been performing live shows, touring all over the world, but without Eric Woolfson.
