Moon Over Miami Lyrics

Your lookin' lonely and only the lonely would know
You're thinking far from here would be an ideal place you could go
But the stars on the water, dancin' from the sky
Makin' the way for that big one out tonightThere's still a moon over Miami
And I know this is love hangin' in the air
This could be the night, the night of all nights
If we just take our time, oh, I know we'll find
There's still a moon over MiamiKey Largo is just way too far to go
These old trade winds are blowin' warm and slow
There's no mistaken what's goin' around tonight
The evidence is shinin' in your eyesThere's still a moon over Miami
And I know this is love hangin' in the air
This could be the night, the night of all nights
If we just take our time, oh, I know we'll find
There's still a moon over Miami

Sawyer Brown is a country music band formed in 1981 at a Pizza Hut restaurant in Apopka, Florida. Lead singer Mark Miller asked keyboardist Gregg "Hobie" Hubbard to play piano for a couple of songs he had written. The two left for Nashville, Tennessee, where they met up with Florida drummer Joe Smyth, Michigan bass player Jim Scholten and original lead guitarist Bobby Randall. They first called the band "Savanah", but renamed themselves "Sawyer Brown" after Sawyer Brown Road, the street where they rehearsed.
