Moonlight Shadow Lyrics

The last that ever she saw him
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
He passed on worried and warning
Carried away by a moonlight shadowLost in a riddle that Saturday night
Far away on the other side
He was caught in the middle of a desperate fight
And she couldn't find how to push throughThe trees that whisper in the evening
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
Sing a song of sorrow and grieving
Carried away by a moonlight shadowAll she saw was the silhouette of a gun
Far away on the other side
He was shot six times by a man on the run
And she couldn't find how to push throughI say, I pray
See you in heaven far away
I say, I pray
See you in heaven one dayFour a.m. in the morning
Carried away by a moonlight shadow
I watched your vision forming

Carried away by a moonlight shadowStardust glowing in a silvery night
Far away on the other side
Will you come to talk to me this night?
And she couldn't find how to push throughI say, I pray
See you in heaven far away
I say, I pray
See you in heaven one dayCaught in the middle of a hundred
And five, ooh, ooh, ooh
The night was heavy and the air was alive
But she couldn't find how to push throughCarried away by a moonlight shadow
Carried away by a moonlight shadowLost in a riddle that Saturday night
Far away on the other side
He was caught in the middle of a desperate fight
And she couldn't find how to push throughCarried away by a moonlight shadow
Carried away by a moonlight shadow

There are 7 artists/bands under the name of Renaissance: 1) A British progressive rock band - The first incarnation of Renaissance came out of the ashes of The Yardbirds in early 1968 when drummer Jim McCarty and guitarist/vocalist Keith Relf formed an acoustic based band. They added keyboardist John Hawken, bassist Louis Cennamo and vocalist Jane Relf (Keith's sister). This band released two albums (Renaissance (1969) and Illusion (1971)) before breaking up. Some of the members reformed as Illusion.
