More Money Tonight Lyrics

I always felt that I was different
I always thought that that was good
I always thought that I was different
I always thought that that was goodSometimes in school people pick on me
In the gym locker room or in the hallway
Cruel things people do and say
Wait a minute, wait a minuteI'll make more money tonight than you ever dreamed of
You thought I was strange, just look at me now
If you are lucky, I'll play in your city
And you can come see me if you've gotSomebody stole all my clothes
That I like to wear
But I'm so rich and famous
Baby, what do I care?
Wait a minute, wait a minuteI'll make more money tonight than you ever dreamed of
You thought I was strange, just look at me now
If you are lucky, I'll play in your city
And you can come see me if you've gotI'll make more money tonight than you ever dreamed of
You thought I was strange, just look at me now

If you are lucky, I'll play in your city
And you can come see me if you've got the moneyIf you've got the money
If you've got the money
If you've got the money

The Violent Femmes were an alternative rock band, formed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States in 1980. The band originally consisted of Gordon Gano (vocals, guitar), Brian Ritchie (bass), and Victor DeLorenzo (drums), with second drummer Guy Hoffman being added into the band in 1993. The band split in early 2009, their last recording being a cover of the Gnarls Barkley song "Crazy", a response to Gnarls Barkley's cover of the Femmes song "Gone Daddy Gone" released the previous year.
