Motel Shaker Lyrics

Shanghaied at midnight to some sleazy motel
The blond leading the blind, ah, she does it so well
A view of the highway, four walls and a bed
She's taking me down now and I'm so easily lead
She's got me right there where she wants
Where she can work me all night long
Motel shaker, tangled in sheets
The more she gets, the more she needs
Motel shaker, shaking the walls
Three in the morning and she wants it all
She puts on her red dress and that's a dangerous sign
With her first-rate body and her one-track mind
Heart shakin' like an earthquake, just a little more fun
When you think it's all over, well, she's hardly begun
She don't care what they can hear next door
She just wants to get what she came for
Motel shaker, tangled in sheets
The more she gets, the more she needs

Motel shaker, shaking the walls
The neighbors are knockin' but she ain't stopping
Motel shaker, tangled in sheets
The more she gets, the more she needs
Motel shaker, shaking the walls
Three in the morning and she wants it all
Woo yeah, shake it, baby
She loves to shake me all night long
But in the morning she'll be gone, she'll be gone
Motel shaker, tangled in sheets
The more she gets, the more she needs
Motel shaker, shaking the walls
The neighbors are knockin', she ain't stoppin'
Motel shaker, tangled in sheets
The more she gets, the more she needs
Motel shaker, shaking the walls
They keep on knockin' but she ain't stoppin'
Motel shaker, motel shaker
Motel shaker, motel shaker

In the late 1960s, Roger Earl and Lonesome Dave Peverett first toured America as members of the seminal British band Savoy Brown . Together with guitarist Kim Simmonds, Savoy Brown was on the cutting edge of the emerging British blues-rock scene, and they influenced countless musicians on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1971, wanting to give a more rock 'n roll flavour to the blues-boogie music they were playing with Savoy, Dave and Roger enlisted lead/slide guitarist Rod Price and bassist Tony Stevens, formed a new band, Foghat.
