Mother Nature Lyrics

I say hey, hey y'all
Mother Nature's back in town
I'm here to take care of business
Ain't got time to fool aroundI'm looking for my man y'all
I'm serious as a heart attack
Now one a-you women stole him
And I'm here to get him backDon't mess with Mother Nature
'Cause you'll be sorry if you do
I'll rain on your parade
And I'll stomp all over youI got up early, early this morning
I had lovin' on my mind
Would have found me someone else
But I'm not the cheating kindSo I'm giving you fair warning
Every word I say is true
If you've got my man turn him loose
If you know what's good for youDon't mess with Mother Nature
You'll be sorry if you do
I'll rain on your parade

And I'll stomp all over youI'm just about through talking
I've said all I have to say
And if you think I'm bluffing
Go ahead and make my dayI'll be on you like a lightning
I've got thunder in my hand
I'll do whatever it takes
But I'm being the best I canDon't mess with Mother Nature
You'll be sorry if you do
I'll rain on your parade
And I'll stomp all over you

Koko Taylor (September 28, 1928 - June 3, 2009) was an American blues musician, popularly known as the "Queen of the Blues." She was known primarily for her rough and powerful vocals and traditional blues stylings. Taylor was born as Cora Walton on a farm just outside Memphis, Tennessee. In 1954, Taylor left Memphis for Chicago with her husband, truck driver Robert "Pops" Taylor. In the late 1950s she began singing in Chicago blues clubs and was spotted by Willie Dixon in 1962, leading to wider performances and her first recording contract.
