Move to Work Lyrics

I'm not asking for advice
Don't tell me sacrifice
It's not the way I want
The choice, I haven't got
It's a case of doing something
I face the man and lose a lot...
Nothing seems to change, every town I turn to
Story is the same up and down the country
So, don't tell me "sacrifice."
I've got to move to work
I know what love is like
I've got to move to work
Oh, and it puts such a strain on us
On you and me my love
I wish there was another way for us
For you and me and my love
If I miss this train, there won't be another
If I get delayed, they'll say "don't you bother"

Here I go back again
You know I wanna stay, I know you've got to eat
Farewell until the weekend love
You've got lots of friends that we've haven't seen for weeks.
All I wanna do, is stay with you
I've got to move to work
There's no money, in this town
I've got to move to work
Wait 'til I got everything I want
Wait 'til I got everything I need
If you keep faith in me darling
It will make this, make this easier
All I wanna do, is stay with you
I've got to move to work.

Fine Young Cannibals were an English band best known for their 1989 hits "She Drives Me Crazy" and "Good Thing". According to the Good Thing Songfacts Fine Young Cannibals rose from the ashes of the UK band The Beat . When the band broke up in 1983, bassist David Steele and guitarist Andy Cox went on to form FYC with a new vocalist, actor/model Roland Gift whom they carefully chose after eight months of listening to cassettes. Their name came from the 1960 film All The Fine Young Cannibals starring Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood.
