Moving Back Home #2 Lyrics

I'm sitting in the vacant lot again
Staring up at those power line towers
Store fronts have changed
They've all got different names
But I've moved back and I'm still the sameI'm living in my mom's basement again
I come in at 4 am
She gets pissed, got to be up at 6
We get into a fight, so I go out again
What oh, what oh, what the hell was I thinking?
Sitting on the top of a parking garage again
Is jumping off a sin? About that I don't care
Just trying to find the sun coming up somewhereI'm at the OTB again
I'm down before I even begin
See I bet $50 on a pick 3
The photo came in and by a nose I lost again
What oh, what oh, what oh, what oh, what oh, what oh
what the hell was I thinking?
Sitting on top of a parking garage again

Is jumping off a sin? About that I don't care
Just trying to find the sun coming up somewhere

Richmond Fontaine is a four-piece alt country band based in Portland, OR. The band was formed in 1994 by guitarist / lead vocalist Willy Vlautin and bass player Dave Harding at the Portland Meadows horse race track. Known for Vlautin's incredibly rich and evocative lyrics, several of Richmond Fontaine's songs relate to horse racing specifically and gambling generally. This is largely an artifact of Vlautin's upbringing in Reno, Nevada, a place that is heavily referenced in his lyrics, along with Portland, the U.
