My Baby's Baby (7 Inch) Lyrics

Woah, woah-woah, I had a one-way love
Woah, woah-woah, it's what I'm thinkin' of
Woah, woah-woah, it’s starting to become
Woah, woah-woah, had no love at all
All that love and affection I've been giving away
Have found another direction ‘cause I found out today
That I’m my baby's baby
(Gotta tell you baby)
Cause I’m my baby’s love
(Got to, got to, got to, got to love)
Oh, I’m my baby's baby,
(Gotta tell you baby)
Oh-oh, he loves to love
Woah, woah-woah, I had no guarantee,

Woah, woah-woah, he’d never notice me
Woah, woah-woah, the other girls around
Woah, woah-woah, you should see me now
Now, when he needs a lover, his baby plays on his mind
He rings that telephone number and guess who's on the line?
‘Cause I’m my baby's baby
(Gotta tell you baby)
Yes, I’m my baby’s love
(Got to, got to, got to, got to love)
Oh, I’m my baby's baby,
(Gotta tell you baby)
Oh-oh, he loves to love
Oh, I’m my baby's baby
(Gotta tell you baby)
Yes, I’m my baby’s love
(Got to, got to, got to, got to love)
‘Cause, I’m my baby's baby,
(Gotta tell you baby)
Oh-oh, he loves to love
(Got to, got to, got to, got to love)
Oh, I’m my baby's baby
(Gotta tell you baby)
Yes, I’m my baby’s love
(Got to, got to, got to, got to love)
‘Cause, I’m my baby's baby,
(Gotta tell you baby)
Oh-oh, he loves to love
(Got to, got to, got to, got to love)
Oh, I’m my baby's baby
(Gotta tell you baby)

Liquid Gold were an English disco group conisting of Ellie Hope (vocals), Syd Twynham (guitar), Ray Knott (bass) and Wally Rothe (drums). Ray Knott and Ellie Hope had met auditioning to play in Babe Ruth, a group that released four albums between 1972 and 1975. After the final album, Kid Stuff, they recruited Wally Rothe and Syd Twynham to form Dream Coupe; after a few shows they signed to Creole Records, a Polo Records subsidiary, and changed their name to Liquid Gold.
