My Ego Needs Me Tonight Lyrics

I am the laugh of the fool
Thinking that I could win
By breaking all the rules
Letting pride get in my way
Didn't care what I would say
Hide behind guilty disguise
My ego needs me tonight
I know it gets in the way
But without it I'm afraid
To face another day
The satisfaction explodes
Conquering every soul
Someday I want to be king
You'll never know what that means
'Cause I'm a man and...
My ego needs me tonight

My ego needs me tonight
My ego needs me tonight
I won't abandon this fight
Don't care who's wrong or what's right
'Cause My ego needs me
Addictive psudo-control
I'll smack you down
If I think you're on a roll
I just can't take that chance
I have to forge my romance
The side I want you to see
Was really made up for me
Can't you understand that
My ego needs me tonight
My ego needs me tonight
My ego needs me tonight
I won't abandon this fight
Protect my wrong from my right
'Cause My ego needs me
I won't abandon this fight
Don't care who's wrong or what's right
'Cause My ego needs me
You say coward
I say protection
Everybody dances
With their own reflection
Overpower the fragrance
Occupy the fragrance
No compromise
No compromise
No surrender
