My Girlfriend Lyrics

Dear Mom and Dad, I don't know where to start
I hate to break the news but I got a broken heart
That sweet southern belle that I met in Tennessee
Got a hickey on her neck and it ain't from meSeems there's someone special
She's been meetin' at the gym
But the crazy thing about it
Is that someone's not a himMy girlfriend's got a girlfriend now
It was cool for a minute now it's bringin' me down
People talkin' 'bout it all over this town
My girlfriend's got a girlfriend nowAll my friends say she's just goin' through a phase
I believed her when she said she just needs a little space
But then I found pictures on her cellular phone
Of them doin' things when I wasn't homeIt hit me like a brick
I guess, I should have seen the sign
This was more than just a friend
And a bottle of wineMy girlfriend's got a girlfriend now
It was cool for a minute now it's bringin' me down
People talkin' 'bout it all over this town

My girlfriend's got a girlfriend nowYeah Mom and Dad, really nothin' left to say
I'll be sure to keep you posted if she swings it back this way
I guess, I'm not as sad as you think I might be
The part that makes me mad is that they didn't invite meMy girlfriend's got a girlfriend now
It was cool for a minute now it's bringin' me down
People talkin' 'bout it all over this town
My girlfriend's got a girlfriend nowMy girlfriend's got a girlfriend now
My girlfriend's got a girlfriend now

Uncle Kracker (born Matthew Shafer 9 November 1974 in Mount Clemens, Michigan) is an American rock and roll and country music musician.

He started out his career at a young age as a fledgling rapper. He met Kid Rock in 1987, and Rock asked Kracker to become his DJ. Kracker did not know how to work the turntables, but he soon learned how to, and he became a long-term friend and colleague of Rock.

Kracker worked with Kid Rock until he became a solo artist in 2000.

The My Hometown Songfacts reports that Kracker recorded Postcards From Home over seven weeks in early 2011. The album title was inspired by his hectic life on the road after his successful Happy Hour longplayer.
