My Man Called Me Lyrics

Chorus:
My man called me this morning
My man called me this morning
Stop
Listen
This is what he said:
He said "Hello Baby"
My sweetie's voice did sound
He called me angel
My head went round and roundChorus
He told me that he loved me
That he was still my guy
He said that he want me
'til the sun fell from the skyChorus
He warned me every morning
He warned me every night
That he'll keep on smiling
And always treat me rightChorus

He would really make me happy
He would do and give me anything
Buy a little house on a hill
A diamond wedding ring
Chorus out

Big Mama Thornton (Willie Mae Thornton, December 11, 1926, Montgomery, AL - July 25, 1984, Los Angeles, CA) was an American blues musician. Her introduction to music, as with most fellow blues legends, started in the Baptist church. The daughter of a minister, she and her six siblings began to sing at a very early age. While still a child, Willie Mae taught herself to play the drums and harmonica, and by the age of 14, she had run away from home to make her career in secular music.
