My Man (Mon Homme) Lyrics

It's cost me a lot
but there's one thing that i got
it's My Mancold and wet
but all that i soon forget
was My Manhe's not much for looks
and no hero out of books
is My Man
two or three girls has he
that he likes as well as me
but i love him
i don't know why i should
he isn't good
he isn't true
he beats me too
what can i dooh My Man i love him so
he'll never know
all my life is just a spare
but i don't care

when he takes me in his arms
the world is bright alrightwhat's the difference if i stay
i'll go away
when i know i'll come back on my knees someday
for wherever My Man is
i'm his forever morewhat's the difference if i stay
i'll go away
when i know i'll come back on my knees somedayfor wherever My Man is
i'm his forever more

Ella Jane Fitzgerald (April 25, 1917 in Newport News, VA – June 15, 1996), also known as Lady Ella (the First Lady of Song), was one of the most influential jazz singers of the 20th Century, the winner of thirteen Grammy Awards, the National Medal of Art presented by President Ronald Reagan and the Presidential Medal of Freedom presented by President George H. W. Bush. Gifted with a three-octave vocal range, she was noted for her purity of tone, near faultless phrasing and intonation, and a "horn-like" improvisational ability, particularly in her scat singing.
