My Own Way Lyrics

We all do what we gotta do
Just to get by, just to get by
Don't point your finger
If we wanna get loose or a little high
We run, run, run around, run the race
Just to pay these dues, just to pay that price, yeah
But I think that everyone's entitled to their vicesCall it what you want, anyway it's the same
Now come on, cause I'm already gone
A heartbeat away, one last breathI got my own way
Ruin and disarray
Better believe what I say
I got my own way
Hey, hey, hey, hey
Life's a bitch and then you die
That's what they say, that's what they say-ey
Don't frown and look down
If we wanna fight, or we wanna play
Fuck fate, it sucks, I make my own luck

And it's always my design and
It looks like you're the one just waiting till you die, yeahCall it what you want, anyway it's the same
Now come on, cause I'm already gone
A heartbeat away, one last breathI got my own way
Ruin and disarray
Better believe what I say
I got my own way
Again, again
I got my own way
Ruin and disarray
Now never mind what you say
I got my own way
Hey, hey, hey, hey
I'm never right, I'm always wrong
But I finally found where I belong
My hell is hot, I know it's true
At least I'm far away from youStop me if you've heard this one, don't knock it till you try itCall it what you want, anyway it's the same
Now come on, cause I'm already gone
A heartbeat away, one last breathI got my own way
Ruin and disarray
Better believe what I say
I got my own way
Again, again
I got my own way
Ruin and disarray
Now never mind what you say
I got my own way
Hey, hey, hey, heyI'm never right, I'm always wrong
But I finally found where I belong
My hell is hot, I know it's true
At least I'm far away from you

There are 2 bands by this name: 1. Drowning Pool is a heavy metal/nu metal band from Dallas, Texas formed in 1997 that rose to prominence while playing along with Ozzy Osbourne during Ozzfest. Their 2001 debut album, Sinner, was certified platinum within six months and the video for its first single "Bodies" was frequently aired on various music video channels. After the September 11th attacks the song "Bodies" was infrequently heard on many radio stations due to the sensitivity of those families' loved ones who jumped from the towers.
