My Sensitivity (gets In The Way) Lyrics

At times I don't believe that I can't control my heart
It skips a beat even before the lovin' starts, yeah
I seem to fall in love with just the slightest touch
And even the little things begin to mean so much
And though I should hold out longer
Just to make sure things get stronger
You tell me that you love me, yeah
And before I'm sure you really do
You say you love me more and more each day
And that's when my sensitivity gets in the way
My sensitivity
Yeah, yeah, hey baby
Then I can't help but love you no, no, no, no
My sensitivity
Yeah, then I can't help but love you
It's hard for me to play those fancy games of love
But just say the right thing baby and it's automatic love, yeah
I try not to let you know how easily I go

Off into lovers land just when you touch my hand
And though I should wait to see how things are gonna really be
You tell me that you love me
And before I'm sure you really do, oh yeah
You say you love me more and more each day, yeah
And that's when my sensitivity gets in the way
My sensitivity
Then I, then I can't help but love you no, no, no, no
My sensitivity
Then I can't help but love you
My sensitivity
Then I can't help but love you, no way, no way
My sensitivity
I can't help but love you, oh no
My sensitivity
Then I, then I can't help but love you, no baby yeah
My sensitivity
Then I can help but love you
My sensitivity, love you
My sensitivity, love you
My sensitivity, love you

Luther Ronzoni Vandross (April 20, 1951 - July 1, 2005) was an american soul and rnb singer whose career spanned four decades.

In the 70s, he worked as a backing singer Chic and for David Bowie (on the Young Americans album). He later found success as a solo artist with Superstar and A House Is Not A Home.

In the 80s, Vandross was a vocalist on early Change singles (Searching), whilst continuing his solo career with such releases as "Never Too Much", "Power Of Love/Love Power", "If Only For One Night", "Here And Now".

In the 90s, he was more famous for duets with Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey (amongst others), than for his solo work.

It was an ongoing battle with his weight that may have ultimately proved his undoing. He suffered a stroke in 2003, from which he never really recovered, and died in 2005.

During his career, he sold 25 million albums and won eight Grammy awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance four times. He won four Grammy awards in 2004, including the Grammy Award for Song of the Year for the track "Dance With My Father," co-written with Richard Marx.
