Narcolepsy Weed Lyrics

Look at you
Broken bird
Narcolepsy Weed
Highway-side
Like a puppet cut
You can't wake
I can't sleep
And now they've got you stealing cars and chasing lullabiesHow will I drag you
Out of motel daydreams
When will you realize?
I don't make sugar promises
Like dandelion seeds
Lying still
With open palms
I'm only watching you breathe
They talk like they know
Like they believe
But I'd bet the brotherhood that if they found you here

They'd leaveOh good day orphan town
Peace is raining downWarm your hands
On my shoulder blades
My parents gave me this peace
Who we are is how we love
That is all I need
So tell the morning
Night is lifting
And mauve is moving in
Like the steam that rises
From the garden beds
Your pain finds the windOh good day orphan town
Peace is raining downGood day orphan town
Peace is raining down
