Negative Love Lyrics

Negative love, skeptical lies beneath the frown
Negative love, youre always putting other people down
Then theyre gone
As they fade away well whos to say that you were wrong?Negative love, the radios playing my request
Negative love, you lie before me unimpressed
Why say yes?
When you know all the ways to say, No best? Please dont make an exception for me
Dont make an exception
Theres no hope for me and you
Cause Im a little negative tooCynical you, I see the look thats in your eyes
Cynical you and its saying I dont sympathize
No surprise
Only the naive believe in love and other lies andPlease dont make an exception for me
Dont make an exception
Theres no hope for me and you
Cause Im a little negative too
Im a little negative tooWere the wrong side of one
I should change my name to John [unverified]

Or maybe were onto something
Could we end up positive after all? Please dont lower your standards for me
Dont lower your standards
Theres no hope for me and you
Cause Im a little negative tooTheres nothing for me and you
Cause Im a little negative
Im a little cynical, Im a little negative
Im a little critical, Im a little negative too

John Wesley Harding (b. 22 October 1965) is a folk/pop singer-songwriter who has called his style of music "folk noir" and "gangsta folk". He was born Wesley Stace in Hastings, East Sussex, England. His given name, Wesley, comes from John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, who preached one of his last sermons in the town where Harding was born. His stage name may be seen as an almost inevitable nickname for a folk-pop musician, in that his first name overlaps with the Bob Dylan album (and song) "John Wesley Harding".
