Never Let Me Down Lyrics

Thanks again for everything
For everything I know
For everything that I have seen
Between these places that I goDown that highway, up that street
In your love I know Ill never lose my feetIn all these years that I have moved around
You never let me down
You never let me downThanks again for all you do
To see us through this mess
Without you these skies of blue
They cloud up with lonelinessUp that mountain, down that stream
Through that nightmare and into that dreamIn all these tragic wonders I have found
You never let me down
You never let me down, no, no
You never let me down, noWhen I think of who we are
And who well be behind those stars
I say oh thank GodYou know lately Ive been feeling kinda lonely
Everybody seems so afraid
I clench my teeth together so tightly sometimes

That I forget that promise you madeKnock and you will open, seek and Ill find
Ask and you will answer in your own perfect timeIn all these years that Ive been losing ground
In all these tragic wonders I have found
In all these years that I have moved around
You never let me downYou never let me down, oh no
You never let me down, oh
You never let me downYou never let me down
You never let me down
You never let me
You never let me down, no

Todd Daniel Snider is a singer-songwriter born October 11, 1966 in Portland, Oregon. Best known for his wry humor, Snider has been a fixture on the Americana, alt-country, and folk scene since his debut on MCA, entitled Songs for the Daily Planet, named for the bar where Snider used to play regularly in Memphis. On that album were the minor hits "Talkin' Seattle Grunge Rock Blues", a folk song about the early '90's grunge scene, featuring a band that "refused to play", and "Alright Guy", which later became the title cut of Gary Allan's 2001 album.
