Never Lost, Never Won Lyrics

My smile is just a little wry;
I can take it with a grain of salt
Instead of getting sleep, I try
To make up for my lost and precious timeI could play a role,
But I lost the cool to keep control
Never mind the deal;
It was well discussed, but not agreedIt's a status quo again -
A draw in every game we play
I guess that sums it up:
We never lost,
We never wonNot a chance we'll ever change
Or that we'll find the one to blame
No one's right or wrong;
We never lost,
We never wonI used to be alright,
But now I can feel the pressure rise
Here is another new ordeal:
It's me again against my self-esteemThank you for the signs;

They could've served me well, but I was blind
Thank you for your time;
It was good to have you by my sideIt's a status quo again -
A draw in every game we play
I guess that sums it up;
We never lost,
We never wonNot a chance we'll ever change
Or that we'll find the one to blame
No one's right or wrong;
We never lost,
We never wonMy smile is just a little wry;
I can take it with a grain of salt
Instead of getting sleep, I try
To make up for my lost and precious timeThank you for the signs;
I bet you knew they were out of sight
Thank you for your time;
I wish I'd known I was wasting mine

At the helm of Marble Sounds is Pieter Van Dessel, who is also part half of the electro band Plastic Operator. His first offering under the moniker Marble Sounds came about in 2007, while residing in Montreal, Canada. That four song EP, "A Painting Or A Spill", tuned into the unabashed nostalgia of bands like Pinback, The Notwist and Eels, layering beauty on top bitter-sweet sentiment. The track 'Redesign' received considerable air play on Belgian national radio (Radio 1, StuBru) and was picked up by the BBC DJ Steve Lamacq.
