Never Meant to Fail Lyrics

There's something I'm feeling, there's something that's wrong
These streets are revealing, in the early morn,
The war was last night, these wounds are not healed
If we keep believing, then we've gotta feelAs it goes
By the story that's already told
Comes a time when we all must let go
What happened to the story
Discontented cuts inside
It's not meant to, be this lonely
We were never meant to failSomething that's crawling
In my skin
Emotions are falling
As it begins
I lost all my virtues
Long ago
I didn't want to hurt you
But now we knowAs it goes
By the story that's already told

Comes a time when we all must let go
What happened to the story
Discontented cuts inside
It's not meant to, be this lonely
We were never meant to failNever meant to fail
Never meant to failAs it goes
By the story that's already told
Comes a time when we all must let go
What happened to the story
Discontented cuts inside
It's not meant to, be this lonely
We were never meant to fail
We were never meant to fail
We were never meant to fail
We were never meant to fail
We were never meant to fail

His musical career can be traced all the way back to his teen years when, as a 13 year old upstart, he started playing in pubs with his first band, the blues based The Beefs. After a stint in Sydney's renowned indie rock group Mother Hubbard, Lloyd went solo in 1997, and he has since had a remarkable career that has garnered critical and public acclaim both in Australia and elsewhere, perhaps best known for his hit single "Amazing".
