Never Never Lyrics

I was sucking on a cigarette
Where did that crowd come from?
They're all the pennies for the slot machines
Sells you back your dreams
That's fine in hell, boy
So that's fine with you
Why don't we try it again now
But my heart won't sing
Until that story's all been told
Yeah she buckled her spine, tattered my soul boy
Oh ain't that a wonder
Oh, but didn't you always say
There's gonna be a better way
I'm still lying in the muck
And mucking down with you

Did you see this girl
Look, oh, never never
Can I stay here forever? ?
Never, never, never you mind
I'll find it somewhere over the railings
Oh, but didn't I always say
There's gonna be a better way
Oh, I'm still lying in the muck
Mucking down with you
I was sucking on a straight
Where did that crowd come from?
They're all the pennies from the slot machines
Sells you back your dreams
That's fine in hell, boy
So that's fine with you
Oh, but didn't you always say
There's gonna to be a better way
Oh oh oh
And I'm still lying in the muck
Mucking down with you
Lying in the muck now
Mucking down baby with you

The Libertines are an English garage rock revival band that formed in London in 1999 and disbanded in 2004. They reformed in 2010 to play the Reading and Leeds festivals. The band released two full-length LPs, both produced by Mick Jones of The Clash. Centered around the song-writing partnership and chemistry between Peter Doherty (vocals/rhythm guitar) and Carl Barât (vocals/lead guitar), while backed by John Hassall (bass) and Gary Powell (drums), the band was one of the cornerstones of the English independent scene in the early 2000's.
