Never Treat Others Lyrics

You can run from the sorrow
And all that you lose
Is the chance to make peace
With the path that you chooseLittle apple, I'm sure
Is as small as you think
Bitter reminder the drown
Is in the drinkI admit, I regret
That I'm needing you
I'm depressed, you're the mess
That I looked up toI retract every word that I say
I swear, I'll never treat others
I swear, I'll never treat others that wayMaybe this isn't anything
Like it should be
You'd be humble and famous
It falls perfectlyI have made some decisions
Choices you make
But I see to my error
I've made a mistakeI admit, I regret

That I'm needing you
I'm depressed, you're the mess
That I looked up toI retract every word that I say
I swear, I'll never treat others
I swear, I'll never treat others
Swear, I will never treat othersDon't open your mouth
Don't worry about it
I'm in your place, never allow itI admit, I regret
That I'm needing you
I'm depressed, you're the mess
That I looked up toI retract every word that I say
I swear, I'll never treat others
I swear, I'll never treat others
Swear, I will never treat others that way

The New Amsterdams began as a solo project in Lawrence, Kansas to then-lead singer for The Get Up Kids Matt Pryor. In 2000, he released his debut album Never You Mind, which was comprised largely of acoustic tracks with sparse accompaniment. However, the album also featured Alex Brahl and Rob Pope providing extra instrument tracks. Two years later in January 2002, Pryor released Para Toda Vida, this time sticking almost purely to acoustic guitar, with the exception of a few tracks utilizing harmonica and banjo as well.
