New Lamps for Old Lyrics

The end of the evening, unable to cope
Unique entertainment no longer a joke
The close of the picture, the end of the show
Merciless torment, torturous blowNew lamps for old
Bright shiny gold
Innocent youth
Falsehood for truthThe eye of the needle, the loss of the thread

Which kills the picture, death of the showNew lamps for old
Bright shiny gold
Innocent youth
Falsehood for truthNew lamps for old
Bright shiny gold
Ooh, yeahIt's a new
It's a new
New lamps for old
New lamp
