New York Lyrics

I can just tell, know this story so well
I just can't get her out of my head
The back of that cab when I never had
A reason to go where she led
So where was this going, and all the while knowing
That I'd catch a plane either way
But maybe tonight if I played my cards right
I'd find a reason to stayShe's in New York and I'm in the deep blue sea
She's just a dream and that's all that she can be for me
I'm taking this slowly, but I'm feeling lonely
And I hope she is feeling it too
Closing my eyes I remember that night
And the rhythm that we fell into
If everyone else in that city had left,
I wouldn't have known for awhile
Yeah I'd still be sitting there, stuck in the moment where
She leaned in to give me a smileShe's in New York and I'm in the deep blue sea
She's just a dream and that's all that she can be for meAnd I'm sinking, I'm sinking

In the deep blue sea
I'm sinking, I'm sinking
In the deep blue sea
She's in New York and I'm in the deep blue sea
She's just a dream, does she think of meShe's in New York and I'm in the deep blue sea
She's just a dream and so I guess I'll just sleep
