Next Door to an Angel Lyrics

Do do do, doobie bop bop, oh do bop she don don
Doobie bop bop, oh do bop she don don
Doobie bop bop, oh do bop she don don
Doobie bop bop, oh do bop she don donI'm living right next door to an angel
And I just found out today
I'm living right next door to an angel
And she only lives a house awayShe used to be such a skinny little girl
But all of a sudden she is out of this world
I'm livin' right next door to an angel
And I'm gonna make that angel mineSince I saw her this morning
I'm on cloud number nine
Found a garden of eden
At the house next door to mineI took a look and oh what a shock
To find a little bit of heaven right on my block
I'm livin' right next door to an angel
And I'm gonna make that angel mineI can't believe that this is the girl next door
Her funny little face isn't funny no more
Sixteen and oh what a dream

Ain't it strange how she changed into such a lovely angel?Saw her walking down main street
And I couldn't believe my eyes
It used to be such a plain street
But now it's paradiseI'm feel so happy, I'm feelin' so good
I'm the luckiest devil in the neighborhood
I'm livin' right next door to an angel
And I'm gonna make that angel mineDo do do, doobie bop bop, oh do bop she don don
Doobie bop bop, oh do bop she don don
Doobie bop bop, oh do bop she don don
Doobie bop bop, oh do bop she don don
Doobie bop bop

Neil Sedaka (born 13 March 1939 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American pop singer, pianist, and songwriter often associated with the Brill Building era of songwriting. He teamed up with Howard Greenfield to write many major hit songs for himself and others.

Sedaka wrote his 1959 hit "Oh! Carol" about his then-girlfriend, Carol Klein, later to become Carole King. In 1963, King released a humorous answer entitled "Oh Neil".

The Laughter In the Rain Songfacts says Sedaka's hits dried up when The Beatles arrived, but then he teamed up with the lyricist Philip Cody and had a a number 1 hit with "Laughter In The Rain." It re-ignited Sedaka's career and he had 6 more Top-40 hits in America by 1977.

Sedaka's voice is in the tenor range.
