Night And Day Lyrics

Maybe you and I see life with two different visions
And neither one of us is wrong or right
Maybe we're too serious and don't wanna listen
I just wanna make you laugh tonightWe're like day and night, night and day
We are both so different in so many ways
We're like night and day, day and night
We go together just like black and whiteSeems you're always out one door when I'm in the other
It's so hard to find some quiet time
Wish that we could spend our lives alone with each other
And never think about the world outsideWe're like day and night, night and day
We are, oh, so different in so many ways
We're like night and day, day and night
Still we know it's gonna be all rightAnd if we never really get the picture right
How many of us ever really win the fight?
I never want to lose your love
Or let the distance get the best of us
'Cause time is moving fast enoughMaybe we don't always share a common opinion
It's true that you and I don't think alike

But when I look into you eyes and all is forgiven
All I wanna do is hold you tightWe're like day and night, night and day
We are both so different in so many ways
We're like night and day, day and night
Still we know it's gonna be all right
We're like night and day, day and night
We go together just like black and whiteWe're like, we're like, we're like
Day and night, night and day
Day and night, night and day
We're like, we're like, we're like
Day and night, night and day
Like black and white

Bette Midler (December 1, 1945) is an American singer, actress, and comedian, also known to her fans and especially in gay culture, as The Divine Miss M. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Jewish parents from New Jersey, and raised there. Midler relocated to New York City to pursue acting on stage, and in 1970 she began singing at the Continental Baths, a gay bathhouse in the city, where she became close to her piano accompanist, Barry Manilow, who produced her first major album, The Divine Miss M in 1973. She is named after the actress Bette Davis although Davis pronounced her name in two syllables, and Midler uses one.

During her career, she has won four Grammy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award, and has been nominated for two Academy Awards.
