Night Ride Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Too soon, wanted more time
Could've held out, but your clock was ticking
No easing in, straightened out lines
Alone with your thoughts
'Cause your friends are still in[Bridge]
Night clubs and back rooms
Baggies in the bathrooms
Nothing's changed but you
Saying nothing's missing
Thoughts are drifting away from you
Morning sun fills the void
Now you see there never was a point[Chorus x2]
Over and over and over again
'Till you can no longer pretend you are safe
Try but you couldn't get any more sure
And the ending still will never change[Verse 2]
Tomorrow night'll go on without you

Go on without you there
Tomorrow night'll go on without you
'Till dawn and no one will careYou get [?] and move in the dark
Hesitation leaves you hung on the lip
Unclench your teeth
Peel off the smiles
[?] when you release your grip[Bridge]
Night clubs and back rooms
Baggies in the bathrooms
Nothing's changed but you
Saying nothing's missing
Thoughts are drifting away from youLed the beast to the cliff
One more step and a long way down
The morning sun fills the void
Now you see there never was a point[Chorus x2]
Over and over and over again
'Till you can no longer pretend you are safe
Try but you couldn't get any more sure
And the ending still will never change

Take 5 southern california guys, mix in some surf, stone, and psychedelic, throw them in a haunted mansion in west hochiminster and with a little luck, you might get a band like The Growlers. The bands name comes from lead singer Brooks Nielsen and guitarist Moustache Matt. One day Brooks came home and Matt was takin a big growler in the outhouse and the rest is history. Watch some footage of old Wind N Sea Surf Club back in the 70's and you might get a taste of what this band's live shows are like.
