Nightingale Lyrics

Nightingale so beautiful I love to hear you sing
You possess such perfect pitch it really is astounding
Nightingale so beautiful I love to here your song
The melody of which sets my heart a pounding
Once upon a summer night when I was on my own
I ventured out and found you singing to no one
(Singing to no one).Nightingale you're so exciting (Nightingale)
Nightingale you're so exciting (Nightingale)
Nightingale you're so exciting (Nightingale)
Nightingale you're so exciting (Nightingale)And though the poet praised you in a more artistic way
I'd like to reaffirm it lest you fly away
Please don't fly away.Nightingale so beautiful I love to hear you sing
You possess such perfect pitch it really is astounding
Nightingale so beautiful I love to here your song
The melody of which sets my heart a pounding
You have been admired for a very long time
And I know your song will live much longer than mine
(Longer than mine).

Clifford Thomas Ward - Born 10 February 1944, Stourport-on-Severn, Worcestershire — 18 December 2001 Clifford T. Ward typified the early 70s bedsitter singer-songwriter with a series of albums that were at best delightful and at worst mawkish. Ward left grammar school before A-levels to work as a clerk, but by 1962 was fronting local beat group Cliff Ward and the Cruisers. The group changed their name to Martin Raynor and the Secrets and made their recording debut for EMI Records in 1965, before recording several more tracks as the Secrets for CBS Records.
