No Future in the Past Lyrics

Yesterdays come easy
They're looking back at you
The sun will rise tomorrow
There's nothing you can do
It's the same old story
Coming round again
What is done is done now
You know you can't hold back the rainAnd there's no future in the past
So take it slow ¨c you're getting nowhere fast
You could be saving the situation now
You'd better run like the devil if you still know howYou know the tide is turning
It's got you on the run
Your last bridge is burning
No time for having fun
Time will wait for no one
To get their day's work done
We're in this boat together
You know one and one and one ain't oneChorusWe've come a long long way

Maybe one day you'll see the light
But don't let it die
Don't let it fade away into the nightYesterdays come easy
They're looking back at you
The sun will rise tomorrow
There's nothing you can do
It's the same old story
Coming round again
What is done is done now
You know you can't hold back the rainChorus

Alan Parsons had dabbled with live performance in his late teens as a folk/blues acoustic player and as a lead guitarist with a blues band in the late sixties. But as soon as he landed a job at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London at the age of 19, it became clear that the world of sound recording was to dominate his career. He was fortunate enough to work as assistant engineer on the last two albums by The Beatles and after he qualified as a fully-fledged recording engineer, he went on to work with Paul McCartney and The Hollies among many others.
