No Letter Today Lyrics

NO LETTER TODAY
WRITER FRANKIE BROWN aka TED DAFFAN
'59 Peer International, BMINo letter today I've waited since dawn I've waited each day since you have been gone
No letter today all the days are so long oh why don't you write I know I was wrong
Just give me one chance please won't you forgive I'll love you my dear as long as I live
I know it's no use though I hope and I pray the postman goes by no letter today
Just give me one chance please won't you forgive I'll love you my dear as long as I live
I know it's no use though I hope and I pray the postman goes by no letter today

Ernest Dale Tubb (February 9, 1914 – September 6, 1984), nicknamed the Texas Troubadour, was an American singer and songwriter and one of the pioneers of country music. His biggest career hit song, "Walking the Floor Over You" (1941), marked the rise of the honky tonk style of music. In 1948, he was the first singer to record a hit version of "Blue Christmas", a song more commonly associated with Elvis Presley and his mid-1950s version.
