No Life Singed Her Lyrics

Take me down from the ridge
Where the summer ends
We'll watch the city spread out
Just like a jet's flameI've got a secret for you
I cut your angel in two
I left her bleeding
And soaked it with a dry spongeNo life has singed her now
No life has singed her now
No life has singed her now
I can see it fadeWe've got a license to live
It's our only one
If it expires
We float up to the dust hazeI've got a secret for you
I cut your angel in two
I saw her spinning and dripping
On your new dressNo life has singed her now
No life has singed her now
No life has singed her now

I can see it fade

Pavement are an American indie rock band that formed in Stockton, California in 1989. For most of the period to 1999, the band consisted of Stephen Malkmus (vocals, guitar), Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg (guitar, vocals), Mark Ibold (bass), Steve West (drums) and Bob Nastanovich (percussion, vocals). During that period, and since, they have frequently been described as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the American underground of the '90s. While their split in 1999 was reportedly rather acrimonious, they undertook a well-received reunion tour during 2010.
