No Love No Nothin' Lyrics

No love, no nothin'
Until my baby comes home
No sir, no nothin'
As long as baby may roamI promised him to wait for him
Till even Hades froze
I'm lonesome heaven knows
But what I said still goesNo love, no nothin'
And that's a promise I'll keep
No fun with no one
I'm getting plenty of sleepMy heart's on strike
And though it's like
An empty honeycomb
No love, no sir
No nothin' till my baby comes homeNo love, no nothin'
Until my baby comes home
No sir, no nothin'
As long as baby may roamI promised him to wait for him
Till even Hades froze

I'm lonesome heaven knows
But what I said still goesNo love, no nothin'
And that's a promise I'll keep
No fun with no one
I'm getting plenty of sleepMy heart's on strike
And though it's like
An empty honeycomb
No love, no nothin', no baby, no sleep
No nothin' till my baby comes homeWhy don't you come home, baby?

Marie Magdelene Dietrich von Losch (aka Marlene) was born in Schöneberg bei Berlin, Germany on December 27, 1901. Her father was an army officer who had served in the Franco-Prussian War. Because of his constant absences due to his army duties, Marlene and the family had to rely on themselves. After he died, while she was 11, Marlene's mother married Eduard von Losch and he adopted the Dietrich children.
