No More Tears Lyrics

We used to laugh
Now all we do is cry
You used to make me happy
Now you don't even tryYou're hurting me, yeah
You're doing me wrong
I can see it in your eyes
Soon you're gonna be goneAnd I know I'm gonna miss you
My love I will send with you
'Cause I, I've been down, been down too long
And you, you keep doing me wrongAnd there'll be no more tears for you
And gonna be no more crying now
And gonna be no more tears for you
See my eyes have run dry and there's no more tearsAnd no more saddened eyes
From crying through the night
I'm gonna gather up, gather up my feelings
And lock them all insideSo when you say you're leaving
And you walk out my door
I'll, I'll catch a moment, say to myself

You cannot hurt me anymoreAnd I know I should be crying
Instead I'm slowly dying
'Cause all my love has gone
From two hearts so badly tornAnd there'll be no more tears for you
And gonna be no more crying now
And gonna be no more tears for you
See my eyes have run dry and there's no more tearsAnd I know I'm gonna miss you
But for love I've got me someone else
'Cause I, I've been down, been down too long
And you, you keep doing me wrongAnd there'll be no more tears for you
And gonna be no more crying now
And gonna be no more tears for you
'Cause I see my eyes have run dry and there's no more tearsAin't nobody crying, oh oh eyes
Dry, my eyes, oh
Lord knows it's gonna be fine
It's gonna be alright after a while
I'm gonna be alright if you would leaveSurely won't you try alright, surely won't you
Surely won't you try, baby tonight?
I'm gonna be alright
Lord knows I don't need you no more, baby
I'll make it on my own, on my own
I'm gonna make it now

Anita Baker (born January 26, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio) is a soul and adult contemporary Rhythm and blues singer. With her classy, refined brand of romantic soul, Anita Baker was one of the definitive quiet storm singers of the '80s. Gifted with a strong, supple alto, Baker was influenced not only by R&B, but jazz, gospel, and traditional pop, which gave her music a distinctly adult sophistication. Smooth and mellow, but hardly lifeless, it made her one of the most popular romantic singers of her time.
