Not There Yet Lyrics

I dont want to work anymore
I just want to live instead
Everyone is saying Im all grown up
Ive come a long way, but Im not there yet
Ive come a long way, but Im not there yet.Where did the summer go?
I was just hitting my stride
Its this insanity, takes me along for the ride
I swam the oceans and the seven seas
Knowing that fate would strike eventually
Youve got to hit rock bottom if you want to come out on topI dont want to work anymore
I just want to live instead
Everyone is saying Im all grown up
Ive come a long way, but Im not there yet
Ive come a long way, but Im not there yet.Where did the winter go?
I just got used to the cold
And its immaturity, keeps me from getting too old
Now I saw a snowfall on a thousand towns
With a sense of purpose I had just been found

Youve got to run real far before you ever feel close to homeI dont want to work anymore
I just want to live instead
Everyone is saying Im all grown up
Ive come a long way, but Im not there yet
Ive come a long way, but Im not there yet.You know Im not there yet
Been working myself into a lonely state
You know Im not there yet
Been breaking my back to find another way
Its been a long time coming
I deserve to take a holidayI dont want to work anymore
I just want to live instead
Everyone is saying Im all grown up
Ive come a long way, but Im not there yet
Ive come a long way, but Im not there yet.

The album was picked up by Warner Bros. Records, who released it in May 2008.
