O'Sister Lyrics

O' sister
What's wrong with your mind?
You used to be so strong and stableMy sister
What made you fall from grace?
I'm sorry that I was not there to catch youWhat have the demons done?
What have the demons done?
With the luminous light that once shined from your eyes
What makes you feel so alone? Is it the whispering ghost that you fear the most?
But the blackness in your heart, it won't last forever
I know it's tearing you apart but it's a storm you can weatherO' sister
Those lines etched in your hands
They're hardened and rough, like a road map of sorrowMy sister
There is a sadness on your face
You're like a motherless child who's longing for comfortWhat's running through your veins that's causing you such pain?
Does it have something to do with the pills they gave to you?
What is eating at your soul? Was it the whispering ghost that left you out in the cold?
But the blackness in your heart won't last forever
I know it's tearing you apart but it's a storm you can weatherOoh, ooh, ooh, hmmO' sister

My sister
O' sister
My sister

City and Colour is a band by former Alexisonfire guitarist and vocalist Dallas Green, started in 2004. The project title derives its name from Dallas’ own name: Dallas, a city, and Green, a colour. Dallas is praised by critics and fans alike for his strong, clear vocals and his guitar playing skills.

To date, Dallas has released two EPs, “The Death of Me” (2004) and “Missing” (2005), as well as three full length albums, “Sometimes” (2005), “Bring Me Your Love” (2008) and "Little Hell" (2011). Dallas Green also appears on Neverending White Lights' collaborative album Act 1: Goodbye Friends of the Heavenly Bodies (which was released in 2005), contributing vocals to the song "The Grace".

Recently he has started playing in an acoustic set with his Alexisonfire bandmate, Wade Macneil.
