Off This Century Lyrics

The future was invented back when you thought you were human
Now it's only getting better every day that we forgetEverything is a commercial. we advertise our memories
We leave our shit on silver platters and then we buy Whatever's left
(empty life? fine?)It's every bastard for himself
the last century hasn't ended yet
bring us the head of the king
the last century hasn't ended yetIt's every bastard for himself
the last century hasn't ended yet
bring us the head of the king
the last century hasn't ended yet
The future was invented and you might be next
LIFE© is like Monopoly©;
You are not old, You are obsolete
and you thought the last ten years were bad

Unwound was an American post-hardcore band based in Olympia, Washington, United States. Formed in 1991, the band consisted of Justin Trosper (guitars and vocals), Vern Rumsey (bass), and Brandt Sandeno (drums), all of whom had previously been in a band called Giant Henry. Brandt Sandeno quit Unwound in 1992 and was replaced by Sara Lund. This lineup would remain in place until the band's dissolution in 2002. The group was strongly associated with the label Kill Rock Stars throughout the 1990s.
