Oh Life (there Must Be More) Lyrics

Waves roll out
Out to sea
Tasting the saltwater
Tears upon her cheeksMorning breaks, she's not there
Who could ever find her?
Who would even care?
Oh ohhNo one heard
No one came
No angel of mercy
Appears to know her nameWhere is hope
When words fail?
All the colors running
Inside when life turns paleOh, in the docks the boats are harbored
Where the water's cold and still
"Oh" life, she cries, "I've lost the will"
From the bridge she sees a lifetime
Being washed upon the shore
"Oh life", she cries, "There must be more"Tides roll in

Waters rise
Any chance of reason
Only clouds her eyesArms of grace
She won't feel
All the wounds inside her
That time can never healThe city lights shine seaward
Swirling in her trance
Her eyes upon the water
Alone in her last danceFrom the docks the boats are leaving
As she cries into the dawn
"Oh life, I'm barely holdin' on"
And she sees her future falling till it finds the ocean floor
"Oh life", she cries, "There must be more, oh"
There must be more, ohAnd with the early light
She'll sail into the clear
The winds are all behind her
The hour's almost hereOh, from the bridge she hears the voices turn into a roar
"Oh life", she cries, "There must be more"
On the dock her soul is sinking but her spirit longs to soar
"Oh life", she cries, "There must be more"There must be more
There must be more
Oh life, I'm barely holdin' on, ohh
There must be more
There must be more
Oh life there must be something more, ohh

The Alan Parsons Project was a British rock group active from 1975 until 1990, founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson both from London, England. The group is based on a number of regular group members such as Stuart Elliot and Ian Bairnson, complemented with varying lead vocals such as Colin Blunstone (the Zombies), Chris Rainbow and Gary Brooker (Procol Harum). The group is well known for its concept albums, which cover themes such as Edgar Allan Poe, Gaudi, and Freud.

Eric Woolfson wrote most of the music and lyrics while Alan Parsons overviewed the production process. Prior to starting his Project, Parsons worked as an engineer with names such as The Beatles(Abbey Road, the Get Back roofttop concert) and Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon, Atom Heart Mother).

Since the 1990s Alan Parsons has been performing live shows, touring all over the world, but without Eric Woolfson.
