Oh My Lyrics

What may I ask
Is never enough
It's never too sweet
And it's never too roughWhat's there to do
While you're waiting your turn
Just pick on your scabs
And watch your cigarette burn
(No)No, no, no
No, no, no
No, no, noIt's just that I act
So stupid sometimes
I forget all the rules
Of waiting in lineDon't get me wrong
Because I'm happy to be
Anything but stillOh my, what a wonderful day
Oh my, what a wonderful day for me
Oh my, what a wonderful day
Oh my, what a wonderful day forThere's so much out there

That you can't see
From sitting in here
But don't you worryBecause I'll bring you the world
I'll bring you it all
You don't have to work
No, you don't have to crawl
(No)No, no, no
No, no, no
No, no, noNo, no, no, no
No, no, no
No, no, noOkay, it's time
We're leaving this place
Tie up your lace
For the second footraceThe monsters next door
And the lack of space
Are no longer ours
Because we really didn't need itOh my, what a wonderful day
Oh my, what a wonderful day for me
Oh my, what a wonderful day
Oh my, what a wonderful day forOh my, what a wonderful day for me
Oh my, what a wonderful day
Oh my, what a wonderful day forBring me back that
Nothing better than being with me
Bring me back that
Nothing better than being with meOh my, what a wonderful day
Oh my, what a wonderful day for

Mellowdrone is a music project founded by Jonathan Bates in the late 1990s. The style varies from soul, hardcore, indie rock, and electronic genres. During his three years of exile in Boston as a scholarship student at the Berklee School of Music, far from his Florida home, Jonathan Bates pulled further and further away from all that the city represented. “There wasn’t much to do except get drunk, do drugs, or get into fights,” he remembers. “And it always seemed to be snowing. So I started to write music.”
