Old Back In the New School Lyrics

What's wrong with sayin' yes sir, sayin' yes ma'am, a hard day's work
Showin' up pretty much on time
What's wrong with waitin' your turn, payin' your dues, keepin' your word
And lookin' a man right in the eye
You can wear your pants down around your knees
But that don't mean a dang to meJust put a little old back in the new school
Get that workin' man back on the bar stool
Just 'cause somethin's hip don't make it cool
Let's put a little old back in the new schoolI don't mind some attitude, a rebel heart, hell I got one too
But you still gotta walk the line
I don't care what you listen to, how you wear your hair you can paint it blue
Hey, it takes all kinds
Johnny rocked and Willie rolled, they just did it with a whole lot more soulJust put a little old back in the new school
Get that workin' man back on the bar stool
Just 'cause somethin's hip don't make it cool
Let's put a little old back in the new schoolMy grandpa just turned 83
I hope some of him rubbed off on me
He's still cooler than I'll ever beJust put a little old back in the new school

(Yeah) Get that workin' man back on the bar stool
Just 'cause somethin's hip don't make it cool
Let's put a little old back in the new schoolYeah I might be young but I ain't no fool
Come on, let's put a little old back in the new school, yeah, new school
Put some old back in it

Justin Moore is an American country singer. He was born and raised in Poyen, Ark. One set of his grandparents raised cattle and he helped with the chores. The other grandparents taught him how to hunt and fish. Although he was a star athlete in high school, he moved to Nashville after graduation to pursue a music career. He teamed with songwriter-producer Jeremy Stover to record some demos of original songs, which eventually found their way to Alan Jackson's producer, Keith Stegall. Moore released his self-titled debut album on the Valory Music label in 2008.
