Old Man Lyrics

Never before would he even thought it
Take her life away
Nothing can give her peace but leaving
Careful, what you sayHe sees the pain
That no one else is seeing
He feels the pain
That no one else is feelingNow you've gone past the point you can't take
Now you've gone past the point you can't
Stop all the suffering
Stop all the painOld man stop the pain
Now your life is stained
Old man stop the pain
Now your life is stainedHad it been the other way around
There's nothing I would change here
For my sake, for her sake, hey it's not a life I'm ending
Hold on to nothing, I'll set you freeNow you've gone past the point you can't take
Now you've gone past the point you can't
Stop all the suffering

Stop all the painOld man stop the pain
Now your life is stained
Old man stop the pain
Now your life is stainedGo to sleep softly and know this
I'm gonna take away the only thing you've left
Because you can't speak to ask
I will send you on your wayIt's the way its gotta be to set her free
Take another shot, old man
It's the way its gotta be
You know what you are endingOld man stop the pain
Now your life is stained
Old man stop the pain
Old man stop the pain
Now your life is stained
Old man stop the painIts the way its gotta be to set her free
Take another shot old man
Its the way its gotta be, old man

Stereomud released their first album, Perfect Self, on Columbia Records in 2001 and a video for the song "Pain" received airplay on MTV2. After extensive touring in support of that album, they went back into the studio, releasing Every Given Moment in April of 2003. After participating in the Jagermeister Music Tour with P.E., Breaking Benjamin, Systematic, and Saliva, Columbia Records cut their touring support, and dropped the band. Due to this, and an impending Life of Agony reunion, Stereomud went their separate ways in July of 2003, a mere 3 months after the release of Every Given Moment.
