Old Photos Lyrics

Photos of feelings won't capture true meanings, my son
Images fade fast and time is what won't last, my son
You never know who will find all your albums gone missing
Polaroids capture the fly on the wall, lovers kissing
Flash the light
to freeze the sky
each night
above these arms
it's how we knew what ___???____
old photos
eeee-echo
what stains have now and how so it goes (?)
eeeee-echo
oh, how bad it would hurt
when there's no more scars to show
pictures of people that smoked
all the years they existed
life in a film

all the??? names are unlisted
blank faces look to the moon so their children won't grow
forgotten boyfriends and girlfriends to suddely show
Flash the light
to freeze the sky
each night
above these arms
it's how we knew what???
eeee-echo
what stains have now and how so it goes
eeeee-echo
oh, how bad it would hurt
when there's no more scars to show
aaaaahh, those photos will play...?
aaaaaaahhh, these photos will play...?
aaaaaaaahhh, a photos will play...?
aaaaaaah, these photos replace embrace

One would never expect such a rich and mighty voice to emerge from Kendra Morris’s petite frame. Her potency as a singer and performer grew from a childhood immersed in music. Her father, a guitarist and mother, a singer, frequently performed around the Southeast and gave Kendra the taste of the life she wanted to live. She moved from St. Petersburg, Florida to New York City in 2003, making music inside a tiny closet with only a guitar and eight-track recorder, always keeping it simple - an aesthetic that continues to shape her sound.
