Old Time Religion (feat. The Pinder Family) Lyrics

Give me that old time religion
Tis the old time religion,
Tis the old time religion,
And it's good enough for me.It was good for our mothers.
It was good for our mothers.
It was good for our mothers.
And it's good enough for me.Give me that old time religion
Tis the old time religion,
Tis the old time religion,
And it's good enough for me.Makes me love everybody.
Makes me love everybody.
Makes me love everybody.
And it's good enough for me.Give me that old time religion
Tis the old time religion,
Tis the old time religion,
And it's good enough for me.It has saved our fathers.
It has saved our fathers.
It has saved our fathers.

And it's good enough for me.Give me that old time religion
Tis the old time religion,
Tis the old time religion,
And it's good enough for me.It will do when I am dying.
It will do when I am dying.
It will do when I am dying.
And it's good enough for me.Give me that old time religion
Tis the old time religion,
Tis the old time religion,
And it's good enough for me.It will take us all to heaven.
It will take us all to heaven.
It will take us all to heaven.
And it's good enough for me.Give me that old time religion
Tis the old time religion,
Tis the old time religion,
And it's good enough for me.

Joseph Spence (August 3, 1910, Andros, Bahamas - March 18, 1984, Nassau, Bahamas) was a Bahamian guitarist and singer.
He is well known for his vocalizations and humming while performing on guitar. Several American musicians, including Taj Mahal, The Grateful Dead, Ry Cooder, Woody Mann and Olu Dara, in addition to the British guitarist John Renbourn, were influenced by and have recorded variations of his arrangements of gospel and Bahamian songs. The earliest recordings of Joseph Spence were made on Spence's porch by folk musicologist Samuel Charters.
