Old to Begin Lyrics

Embrace the senile genius
Watch him reinvent the wheel
I don't need your summary acts, summary acts
To give into the narrative ageOld to begin
I will set you back, set you back, set you
Old to begin
I will set you back, set you back, set youYou get to feelin' like a fixture
Set in nineteen sixty six
Time came that we drifted apart, drifted apart
Find an unidentical twinOld to begin
I will set you back, set you back, set you
Old to begin
I will set you back, set you back fromSearch for a blatant cause
Blame it on menopause
Or perhaps stress and strain
Credit cards, lumbar pain
But I've seen you double dares
Everything extraordinaire

I know the things you do call to come backLa la la la la
La la la la la

Pavement are an American indie rock band that formed in Stockton, California in 1989. For most of the period to 1999, the band consisted of Stephen Malkmus (vocals, guitar), Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg (guitar, vocals), Mark Ibold (bass), Steve West (drums) and Bob Nastanovich (percussion, vocals). During that period, and since, they have frequently been described as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the American underground of the '90s. While their split in 1999 was reportedly rather acrimonious, they undertook a well-received reunion tour during 2010.
