Olympia WA. Lyrics

Hangin' out with Lars down on 6th street he knew that I was in trouble
I was feeling much like the devil
There was something burnin' deep inside of me
Ran into three Puerto Ricans these girls took us to the fun house
Where we played a lonely pinball machineHangin' on the corner of 52nd and Broadway
Cars passin' by but none of them seem to go my way
And New York City well I wish I was on a highway
Back to OlympiaI'm having a hard time understanding, it gets all too demanding
She's all gone and I'm stranded
Something burning deep inside of me
All I know it's 4'o'clock and she ain't never showed up
And I watched a thousand people go home from work, yeahHangin' on the corner of 52nd and Broadway
Cars passin' by but none of them seem to go my way
And New York City well I wish I was on a highway
Back to OlympiaHow many times will it take me before I go crazy?
Before I lose everything?
Something burning deep inside of me
Ran into three Puerto Ricans those girls took us to the fun house

I don't wanna be alone againHangin' on the corner of 52nd and Broadway
Cars passin' by but none of them seem to go my way
And New York City well I wish I was on a highway
Back to Olympia

Rancid is a punk rock band which formed in Berkeley, California, United States in 1991. The band consists of Tim "Lint" Armstrong (vocals, guitar), Lars Frederiksen (guitar), Matt Freeman (bass) and Brendan Stieneckert (drums). The band has released seven albums: "Rancid" (1993), "Let's Go" (1994), "...And Out Come the Wolves" (1995), "Life Won't Wait" (1998), "Rancid" (2000), "Indestructible" (2003) and "Let the Dominoes Fall" (2009). The band originally consisted of Armstrong, Freeman (both former members of Operation Ivy) and drummer Brett Reed, with Frederiksen joining in 1993. Reed left in 2006 and was replaced by Stieneckert.

To date, Rancid has released seven studio albums, one split album, one compilation, two extended plays, and a series of live online-only albums, and has been featured on a number of compilation albums. The band has independently sold over four million records worldwide,[4] making it one of the most successful independent punk groups of all time. The band rose to fame in 1994 with its second studio album, Let's Go, featuring the single "Salvation". In the following year, Rancid released its highly successful album ...And Out Come the Wolves, which produced its best-known songs "Roots Radicals", "Ruby Soho" and "Time Bomb", and was certified gold and platinum by the RIAA, selling over one million copies in the United States alone. Its next four albums, Life Won't Wait, Rancid, Indestructible and Let the Dominoes Fall, were also critically acclaimed, though not as successful as ...And Out Come the Wolves. Rancid is currently working on an eighth studio album, which is said to be recorded in September 2011, and expected to be released in 2012.
