On Your Way Lyrics

And I was so alone, then I saw you across the room
Taking in the sound of what was surrounding you
You looked around at a lonely crowd
Trying everything to drown it out
I’m still unsure how you’ve done this but here you are
You’re on your way into my heart
If you don’t start slowing down
I saw it coming from the start but I wondered
You’re on your way now
And I could not believe when you looked at me
It’s like you knew that we’d have everything we’d need to see this through
And I couldn’t find a place to hide
So I just stared right back into your eyes
I’m still unsure how you’ve done this but here you are
You’re on your way into my heart
If you don’t start slowing down
I saw it coming from the start but I wondered
Just how would it be if you hadn’t believed in me

You’re on your way now
And these are the days that we’ll remember
And these are the days that we’ll remember
And these are the days that we’ll remember
And these are the days that we’ll remember
And these are the days that we’ll remember
And these are the days that we’ll remember
You’re on your way into my heart
If you don’t start slowing down
I saw it coming from the start but I wondered
Just how would it be if you hadn’t believed in me
You’re on your way now

While it’s common practice in rock bios to liken an act to something familiar, it’s hard to do that with San Diego’s We Shot The Moon. That’s because it’s virtually impossible to compare them to any other band out there…not for more than a track or two, at least. We Shot The Moon--led by former Waking Ashland frontman Jonathan Jones--is a piano-heavy indie rock five-piece that formed in the year 2007. On September 29, the band releases its infectious sophomore LP, A Silver Lining, the follow-up to 2008’s Fear and Love, on Minneapolis-based label Afternoon Records.
