On the Air Tonight Lyrics

Here we are,
Must be somewhere
But you don’t seem to know the faces
You’ll survive,
This hurt inside
It’s only love ‘s changing places
Nobody ever knows the way you feel
Nobody ever knows but you
On the air tonight
On the air tonight
On the air tonight
In the light,
In the shadow,
In between the feeling grows
On the edge of tomorrow
But tomorrow never knows
No matter where you are,
Or what you do

Nothing will ever change, but you
On the air tonight (3x)
Take a rose,
Call it sorrow,
But it’s a rose by any other name.
And so it goes and we will follow
A petal scattered in the falling rain
Nobody ever knows the way you feel,
Nobody ever knows but you.
On the air tonight (3x)

In the 60's, Colin Blunstone was the lead singer of The Zombies, a british band that developed a distinctive, jazzy sound, in which his soft, laid-back, almost hesitant voice was offset against the equally soft, but flexible and pointy instruments of organ, drum, and bass. The Zombies disbanded. In the early 70's, Blunstone re-emerged as a solo act, and scored several major hits. The music featured rhythm guitar now and ranged from string arranged melodies, to rock, to American folk.
