One Day Lyrics

We're in danger so I'm told
It's the end of time and the world is old
You meet a stranger you don't want to see
Dance to the sound of his pen making historyYou know that
One day and it won't be long
We'll stand in this place undercover
Licensed to be wrong
One day and it won't be long
We'll stand in this place and discoverI'm not ashamed to tell you
But you know its over
Naked as the beauty
Crying on my shoulderIt's hard to face rejection
What used to be affection
I thought it was my duty
Like I was a soldierI'd like to pay you but my funds are thin
I'm so in love with my shirt but I'll throw it in
Why can't you understand what I am going through
It's a bad situation what can I doYou know that

One day and it won't be long
We'll stand in this place undercover
Licensed to be wrong
One day and it won't be long
We'll stand in this place and discoverI'm not ashamed to tell you
But you know its over
Naked as the beauty
Crying on my shoulderIt's hard to face rejection
What used to be affection
I thought it was my duty
Like I was a soldierLike I was a soldier
Like I was a soldier
Like I was a soldier(one day and it won't be long)

Electronic were a duo formed in Manchester, UK in 1989 consisting of New Order vocalist Bernard Sumner and ex-The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr. Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe from Pet Shop Boys and Karl Bartos of Kraftwerk also collaborated with the band. They released three albums during the '90s, with their debut Electronic selling over a million copies worldwide. However, the follow-up Raise The Pressure, despite debuting in the UK Top 10, was a commercial flop by comparison. The group's highest charting singles is 1992's Disappointed, which reached #6 in the UK.
