One Golden Curl Lyrics

One Golden Curl: Wilf Carter
Where are the blue eyes that sparkle so bright
Where are the arms that held me so tight
Gone with the Angels, gone from this world
Oh how I miss you my sweet baby girl
Chorus
One golden curl, one golden curl
Sealed in a locket all covered with pearls
One golden curl, one golden curl
Just to remember, my sweet baby girl
How I remember the last thing she said
Daddy dear daddy, please raise up my head
I hear the Angels calling up there
Please give my dolly a lock of my hair

Repeat Chorus
Beautiful blue eyes come back to me
You’ll live forever in my memory
Beautiful tresses ringed with soft gold
Darling without you this world is so cold
Repeat Chorus

Wilf Carter (born December 18, 1904 in Port Hilford, Nova Scotia, Canada, died December 5, 1996 in Scottsdale, Arizona), also known as Montana Slim, was a Canadian country music singer and yodeler. In 1923, Carter moved west to Calgary, Alberta, where he found work as a cowboy and made extra money singing and playing his guitar. It was during this time that he developed his own yodeling style, sometimes called an "echo yodel" or a "three-in-one".
